Join Flower Mound United Methodist Church!

Being a member of a local United Methodist Church, such as Flower Mound United Methodist Church, means being part of the global connection of the United Methodist Church. Every local church of the United Methodist Church is open to all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or economic condition. There are three ways to join Flower Mound United Methodist Church:

- Profession of faith through baptism and/or confirmation
- Transfer of membership from another United Methodist Church
- Transfer of membership from another denomination whose baptism the United Methodist Church accepts


United Methodist Church Membership Defined:

Professing Member – One who receives, or has received, baptism and professes his/her faith before the congregation.

Affiliate Member – One who is a member of another United Methodist Church but is residing away from his/her home church and wishes to be associated with a local church temporarily.

Associate Member – One in the same situation stated above but who is of another denomination. In both of these situations, the individual is still counted as a member in his/her home church. These members can participate and hold office.
