The Mission Team’s focus at Flower Mound United Methodist Church is to share Christ’s love with others through our gifts and our service. Each year, as a committee, we prayerfully consider mission projects that will be supported by our congregation and church. Most of these missions are not only missions of the congregation, but also of individual congregants. We like the church to support causes our congregants are personally involved in, as it personalizes our efforts.
Participation from the Flower Mound UMC congregation comes in various ways. There are many hands-on mission opportunities like feeding the Dallas City Homeless, building homes with Habitat for Humanity, helping Christian Community Action (CCA) with special projects, being a mentor to teenage parents in the Lewisville ISD, or building homes in Mexico!
Participation also comes in the form of green agape – not only in support of the missions mentioned above, but to other organizations such as God’s Child, which helps poor children in South America; Project Transformation, which helps underprivileged youth of Dallas; African missionaries; and special medical needs of underprivileged children. Your donations help us answer prayers for many of God’s children, both within the metroplex and beyond.
For additional information about participating in mission opportunities, please contact Mission Chair, Marney MacKenna, at 972-355-6503, or a member of the Mission Team.
