Feeding His Sheep: CCA Bible Study Meals

Posted Friday, September 12, 2008

Attention, FMUMC small groups! Your support is needed on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 for 7 weeks starting October 29. You have the opportunity to provide a meal to 10 to 15 new clients of Chrisitian Community Action (CCA) who are struggling more than ever during this difficult economic period. Here's what the service involves:

  1. Prepare and deliver food by 6 p.m. to CCA*, including dinner, dessert, drinks. You will need to bring paper products such as cups, plates, napkins and utensils. For this, you can tap into the supply in the church kitchen.
  2. Keep hot food hot and cold food cold during transport to CAA; this is necessary to comply with public health codes.
  3. Plan to provide childcare (if your group has that need) between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m.

You are welcome to stay and participate in the video-based Bible study, led by CCA's chaplain.

Sound good? Great! Then register your group for the Wednesdays of your choice via our online form.

Questions? Contact Nancy Mullins via e-mail or CCA Chaplain Paul Lucido at (214) 244-9316.

* CCA is located at 128 S. Mill St. in Lewisville. Meals will be served in CCA's Community Room. Enter through the glass "administration" doors in the corner of their L-shaped building.
