- Rev. Reid Fade | Senior Pastor

- Reid Fade is a Methodist “Preacher’s Kid” from Mississippi. With a heart for preaching, music and leading worship, she finds herself right at home at Flower Mound UMC. Reid holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in piano from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. She received a Master of Education Degree in music from Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi. Reid went on to get a Master of Music in piano performance and choral conducting from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. She received her Master of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology in 1999 and is currently pursuing the Doctor of Ministry Degree from Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, Missouri. After teaching school for twenty years and following Rock around the globe in the oilfield, Reid answered the call to ministry in 1995, began seminary in Houston, moved to North Texas and began her ministry. Reid is married to Rock, and they have two daughters…Leigh Fade Pyle and Kathryn Fade Spurgeon. They are the proud grandparents of Emma & Caden Pyle, and Elyse Spurgeon.
- Rev. Carol Sparks | Associate Pastor & Youth Minister

- Carol Sparks has been serving this congregation since the fall of
2002. Her ministry is highly relational and at times can be just a bit
unconventional, marked by laughter, celebration, and sharing God's joy
with others! Carol holds the Masters of Divinity from Perkins School of
Theology at SMU, and a BGS from Northeast Louisiana University. Carol's life is full with four children, Kelly, Alexaundra, Jason, Chelsea, one granddaughter, Shelbey, and two precious dogs,
Sophie and Annie.
- Lewis Worthington | Director of Music Ministry

- Lewis Worthington brings his passion for people, music, worship,
and liturgy to Flower Mound United Methodist Church. Prior to full-time music ministry, Lewis taught at Hampden-Sydney College, St. Lawrence University, and Louisiana State University. A native Texan, Lewis' undergraduate work is from East Texas State and Texas Wesleyan Universities. He holds the Master of Sacred Music degree in conducting and historical liturgics from the Candler School of Theology at Emory
University. He completed the coursework and qualifying exams for the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in conducting and
musicology from Louisiana State University, where his dissertation was titled "Reconciling Liturgical History in Frank Ferko's Stabat Mater: the Creation of Culture and Triumph of Bad Taste." Lewis loves to camp, hike, and garden with his wife, Mary, and daughters, Madison and Corinne. He holds
professional memberships in the Royal School of Church Music in America,
American Choral Directors Association, American Guild of Organists, American Guild of English Handbell Ringers,
Choristers Guild, the Fellowship of United Methodists in Music, Worship, and the Arts, and is a brother in the Order of St. Luke, a liturgical community in diaspora.
- Kellie Sanford | Director of Children's Ministry

- Kellie Sanford joined the staff of FMUMC as Director of Children’s Ministry in June 2007. Kellie, a commissioned Stephen Minister, volunteered in youth ministry at her previous church and taught Sunday school, participated in numerous Bible studies and was active in UMW. Kellie earned her Associates of Arts degree from North Central Texas College. Kellie is married to Lonnie and together they have three children: Sarah, currently studying at Texas A&M; Christian, a senior at Flower Mound High School; and Adam, a sophomore at FMHS. Kellie, along with her yellow lab, Cali, is an avid runner and enjoys books about U. S. and world history.
- Candy Carter | Office Manager

- Candy Carter is our Office Manager. She works with the Office
Ministry Team and handles the administrative duties of the church.
Candy has been married to Dennis Carter for 25 years. She is the proud
mother of three grown children, all graduates of Texas A&M University.
Her oldest, Niki, is living in Del Rio with her husband, Bryan. They have recently made Candy & Dennis the proud grandparents of Addie Clay Weston. Kristin, her younger daughter, lives in Dallas and works for Republic Distributing. Her son, Kyle, graduated in 2006 and is working for Sears. Candy graduated from Amarillo College School of Nursing in 1981 and worked as a registered nurse for 18 years. Candy also enjoyed her position with
First UMC of Corpus Christi as the Senior Pastor's administrative assistant. She enjoys gardening, her dogs Emmitt, Ellie & Bailey, and the Dallas Mavericks.
- Karen Nixon | Financial Secretary
- Ken Petersen | Building Superintendent

- Ken Petersen is our Building Superintendent. He is responsible for
taking care of the maintenance and care of our facilities. Ken has been
married to Marcy for 25 years. Ken and Marcy have two children, Chase and Parris. Ken is a retired as a tradesman in the Los
Angeles Unified School District. Ken enjoys making custom golf clubs as
well as playing golf. Spending time with his children is his priority
and his passion.
- Janet Hilger / Director of Sonshine Kids CDC
- Janet Hilger comes to the directorship of the Sonshine Kids Child Development Center after feeling a calling to be more involved in the various ministries offered at FMUMC. Janet graduated from The University of North Texas in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Her route to the Sonshine Kids was circuitous, to say the least, leading her through a career in business that culminated as the Chief Operations Officer of an industry leading furniture manufacturing company. Janet has actively volunteered in children's ministries for many years including teaching Sunday school, participating on the Children's Council and most recently co-leading the church's most successful Vacation Bible School ever. Janet and her husband, Mark, have been members of FMUMC for eight years and have two wonderful children, Kayla and Ethan. Janet feels blessed and honored to head up the Sonshine Kids CDC and is excited about her new opportunity.
