Rev. John A. Johnson, Senior Pastor, and his wife Linda have enjoyed 32 years of marriage. They have two children; Kristen (28) and Brian (age 24 when he left this world in April of 2009). After serving in the Air Force, where John and Linda met, the Johnsons moved to Texas in 1978 and returned to Texas once again after multiple life adventures including a corporate transfer to Denver followed by 8 years as owner/operators of a private business in Northern Minnesota. While "up North" the Johnsons helped organize, develop and operate a volunteer search and rescue unit and were both certified as Emergency Medical Technicians. John was honored to receive the JB Martin Homiletics award for 2006 and received his Master of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology in 2007. John comes to FLower Mound UMC from First UMC Blue Ridge, Texas. John's first love is flying and both John and Linda enjoy motorcycle trips
 
Rev. Cheryl Murray, Associate Pastor, comes to us directly from campus ministry in Wichita Falls, Texas, home of Midwestern State University.  She is newly commissioned as a probationary elder in the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church.  She is a 2001 graduate of Perkins School of Theology where she earned her Master of Divinity cum laude.  She received the Albert L. Outler Award in Theology in 2000.
       Cheryl has been on one church staff or another since age 16 as pianist, organist, and/or music director.   Since answering the call to ordained ministry, she has worked in adult education, children’s ministry, and pastoral care as well as worship, preaching, and music.  Once upon a lifetime ago, she was active in community theater, participating in at least a hundred productions, in Harlingen, Texas, where she grew up.  She also played keyboard in Dallas for “Dreamgirls” and “Nunsense.” 
      Cheryl is single, has a roommate – her mother, Lula Faye Murray.  Her dad, Jim Murray, is currently a resident of Cross Timbers nursing home in Flower Mound.  Her sister, Judy Chapman, lives in Lafayette, Louisiana.  Cell: 940-613-5375.  Facebook: Cheryl Murray.

Lewis Worthington, Director of Music Ministry,  brings his passion for people, music, worship, and liturgy to Flower Mound United Methodist Church. Prior to full-time music ministry, Lewis taught at Hampden-Sydney College, St. Lawrence University, and Louisiana State University. A native Texan, Lewis' undergraduate work is from East Texas State and Texas Wesleyan Universities. He holds the Master of Sacred Music degree in conducting and historical liturgics from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. He completed the coursework and qualifying exams for the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in conducting and musicology from Louisiana State University, where his dissertation was titled "Reconciling Liturgical History in Frank Ferko's Stabat Mater: the Creation of Culture and Triumph of Bad Taste." Lewis loves to camp, hike, and garden with his wife, Mary, and daughters, Madison and Corinne. He holds professional memberships in the Royal School of Church Music in America, American Choral Directors Association, American Guild of Organists, American Guild of English Handbell Ringers, Choristers Guild, the Fellowship of United Methodists in Music, Worship, and the Arts, and is a brother in the Order of St. Luke, a liturgical community in diaspora.

Samantha Brem, Office Manager, works with the Office Ministry Team and handles the administrative duties of the church. Samantha has been a member for six years and is active in UMW, WWF, Sunday School and her favorite activity - the church's softball team. Samantha is married to Gary and has two children, Connor and Madeline.

Kellie Sanford, Director of Educational Ministry, joined the staff of FMUMC in June 2007. Kellie, a commissioned Stephen Minister, earned her Associates of Arts degree from North Central Texas College. Kellie is married to Lonnie and together they have three children, Sarah, Christian, and Adam.  Kellie feels blessed to serve at FMUMC and feels called into ministry. Close to her heart are her favorite Bible verses:  

He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.   Micah 6:8

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'   Matthew 22:37-39

Kathy Shirley, Finance Office Manager, handles the financial affairs of the church. Kathy has been a member for eight years and is involved with UMW, home group and missions. She is married to Jeff and they have four chidlren, Kate, Matt, Rachel, Megan.
Ken Petersen, Building Superintendent, is responsible for taking care of the maintenance and care of our facilities. Ken has been married to Marcy for 25 years. Ken and Marcy have two children, Chase and Parris. Ken is a retired as a tradesman in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Ken enjoys making custom golf clubs as well as playing golf. Spending time with his children is his priority and his passion.
 Janet Hilger, Director of Sonshine Kids CDC, comes to the directorship of the Sonshine Kids Child Development Center after feeling a calling to be more involved in the various ministries offered at FMUMC. Janet graduated from The University of North Texas in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Her route to the Sonshine Kids was circuitous, to say the least, leading her through a career in business that culminated as the Chief Operations Officer of an industry leading furniture manufacturing company.  Janet and her husband, Mark, have been members of FMUMC for ten years and have two children, Kayla and Ethan. 
 
 Stacy Nebrig, Youth Director, leads the programs at FMUMC that serve the youth of our congreation.  Stacy grew up in our church and was confirmed in 2000. She graduated from Texas A & M in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.  So why was she chosen to lead our youth? Because they love her and she loves them!  She is excited to be working with the youth and is thoroughly enjoying it. (And doing a great job, we might add!)
 
Lisa DeBellevue, Pianist, Lisa DeBellevue has been playing for churches and choirs since she was in junior high school in Dallas.   After receiving her Bachelors and Masters degrees in piano performance from the University of North Texas she settled in the Lewisville/Flower Mound area where she has taught piano lessons for over twenty-five years.  She is an active accompanist, adjudicator, and private teacher and church musician.  She and her husband, John, have four children.
